Southern Indiana Charm

A few weekends ago Greg & I drove all around Southern Indiana with his parents, searching for covered bridges from the 1800s. I took some photos. It always amazes me to see the different ways that human-made things decay and age over time.

So here are the bridges. Or a sampling of them, I should say.

Cara, these are stunning. I'm noticing more & more in my poems that my fascination & draw to time's rub on things, especially things made by a pair of hands, is coming though there. I'm not sure how much of a say I'll have in its design, but might I consider one of these for the cover of my forthcoming chapbook? Just a thought.

I just realized that there were comments on here today. I didn't know anyone actually read this! I think you might be the only one that has so far? Yes yes yes as far the photos go, let me know if you would like the photos in some electronic form.
